
Amy M. Fowler, MD
Amy M. Fowler, MD joined the Alamance Eye Center staff in 2009. She started coming to the Center one day a week last year. Dr. Fowler is affiliated with UNC-Chapel Hill. She received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and has since offered her skills at several local facilities, including Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro and Duke University Eye Center. Her fellowship at the Department of Ophthalmology at UNC Chapel Hill focused on Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Fowler’s clinical interests include: the surgical repair of eyelid malpositions, eyelid tumors, eyelid and eyebrow reconstruction following Mohs surgery, brow and forehead lifts, eyelid trauma and reconstruction, lacrimal drainage dysfunction, dry eye, blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm, and facial rejuvenation utilizing a combination of surgery, cosmetic Botox™, and fillers such as Radiesse™ and Juvederm™.
During our April 2010 Pelleve event, Dr. Fowler demonstrated the non-invasive skin tightening procedure now available at Alamance Eye Center.
